Purpose: To identify genetic and dietary factors that affect the risk for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).
Recruiting: Caucasians, ages 12-40 with no history of heavy alcohol/soda consumption, to provide saliva samples.
Selected participants will return to undergo a two week oral fructose challenge. Each visit, participants will provide blood, urine, and stool samples, as well as fill out a questionnaire.
Eligible participants will be compensated!
